The day I arrived in England with my wife and children, my heart was filled with hope but also fear. I still remember standing at the airport, holding my youngest child's hand while my wife gathered our belongings, feeling completely lost. As a father of five with big dreams for my family, I found myself facing a system that felt like a maze with no map – school applications, entrance exams, and terminology I'd never encountered before.

Every night, I would lie awake wondering: β€œWill my children fall behind? Will they lose opportunities because I don't understand how things work here?” The thought of my bright, curious children missing chances because of my limitations as their father was unbearable. I watched other parents navigate the system with such confidence while I struggled to understand the difference between grammar schools and academies.

That worry transformed into determination. I refused to let my children's potential go unrealized. Through countless late nights, stacks of research materials, and conversations with anyone who would help, I developed a systematic approach to understanding British education. Every child of mine had different talents and dreams – medicine, computing, literature – and I was committed to finding the right path for each of them.
